Green Roofing Installation

Green Roofs - better environmental option

Green roofs are becoming more popular as people recognise their many benefits.

Green Roof Installation

We can install Green roofs by working with R&D Roofing. This is an innovative style of flat roofing that is attractive, economically efficient, and benefits the environment.

What is Green Roofing? The roof deck is used to grow vegetation or habitats for wildlife are established.

Why install Green Roofing? The demand for green roofing has soared over recent years, mainly due to the increasing awareness of sustainable development to combat climate change.

Green roof installation also aims to combat progressive urbanisation. There is a huge amount of roof space in the UK where this could be implemented with little to no modification to the roof structure.

Benefits of Green Roof Installation

  • Reduce storm water run off
  • Increases the life span of the roof
  • Climate change adaption
  • Increases biodiversity
  • Improves air and water quality

With increasing socially responsible attitudes in society and more corporate strategies to help combat global warming a Green Roof can make a positive difference – and it looks great!

Traditional Felt Roofing service

Even today the benefit of three layer felts are still the most popular flat roof covering and have been so for many years. The first type is BU FR Roll and pour, the hot bitumen method which is now rarely used because of the health and safety problems associated with it. The main felt roof method adopted within the industry is known as the Torch-on method where the surface is pre-coated in bitumen, which is then heated for a few moments before being laid directly to the roof surface. Aldworth Roofing Contracts use only the highest quality SBS type torch-on felts.

Benefits

  • Fast efficient installations.
  • The most economical type of roofing.
  • High quality materials.
  • Quick installation.
  • Very long lasting due to quality felts.

We are approved installers for the following roofing systems: Delta Waterproofing, Icopal/Anderson, Bailey, Langley Waterproofing, & Ruberoid.
